Record of overseas incidents, vol. 4

2004.09.12, our second live in Paris.
The trouble here was the sudden alteration of the guarantee (about 1/4 of it) in our written contract by the French organizing team No sphere, a month before the live. After that, No sphere took the signed and completed contract and tried to alter the guarantee even further (about 1/3). I was so mad I wanted to gouge out their eyeballs on the spot! Even when I objected to it, No sphere claimed with total sincerity that they weren't doing anything wrong. I couldn't believe their idiotic pride in refusing to admit their own mistakes. They think the Japanese are nothing more than monkeys that come to bring them money. They wanted to just casually revise the amount of money that had been promised in our signed and settled contract. Not that BLOOD is in it just for money, but we do our best to avoid racking up enough travel expenses to put us in debt. Our Japanese promoter who went there with us also said "I'll never work with No sphere again."
Moral of the story: No sphere needs to quit.
Rage level: ★★★★

ooch, that sucks. I had to laugh though, when you said you wanted to gouge their eyeballs out. That would be the perfect way to handle idiots if it was legal. There are many days when I wish it was legal.
